Welcome to the Ste. Genevieve du Bois website. Our Parish School of Religion (PSR) is administrated by Mrs. Kathy Fleming, CRE. Our program is a very unique PSR, designed to assist the parents to be the primary catechists for their children. Home is where the students first learn of God’s love. Home is where the Faith is primarily taught. We as a Church continually call the parents as the primary educators of their children. So, in our parish community we lead the parents in this role.
Each month we have a PSR family gathering where the students meet with their grade and are led by a catechist who reinforces the lessons taught in the Faith and Life series. The parents also meet to discuss relevant topics of faith in our curriculum or Liturgical calendar to enhance and encourage their walk as catechists of their children. Community prayer is offered, monthly lesson schedules are distributed, Unit tests are gathered, and announcements of upcoming events given.
